Delete your Hydro Haven account

Open the Hydro Haven app and go to Account → Delete my account. You will be asked to confirm, and the account is closed straight away — no waiting on us to process it.

Email hello@hydrohaven.co.uk from the address the account is registered to, asking us to delete it. If you no longer have access to that inbox, write from any address and tell us the account’s email address and an order reference — we will need to check you are the account holder before we delete anything.

We action requests within 30 days, which is the limit UK GDPR sets for responding to an erasure request. In practice it is far quicker.

• Your sign-in. The account stops working immediately, on every device you are signed in on.
• Your profile — the name, email address and phone number held on the account itself.
• Your marketing preferences, and any consent to be emailed. We will not contact you again.
• Any sign-in codes or links waiting in your inbox. They stop working at once.

For the first 30 days the account is closed but recoverable: if you change your mind, simply sign in again with the same email address and it comes back, along with your history. After 30 days your details are permanently anonymised and the account cannot be restored.

We keep the record of any orders you placed — including the name, email address, phone number and delivery address you gave at the time, along with what was bought and paid. We keep these for 6 years from the date of the order.

There are two reasons, and we cannot delete them on request:

• Tax. We are required to keep business and accounting records for six years. UK GDPR allows us to retain personal data where we need it to comply with a legal obligation.
• Your warranty. A hot tub warranty claim is settled against the proof of purchase. Deleting the order would end any cover you still have.

These records are not linked to a working account and are not used to contact you or to market to you. After 6 years they are deleted in the normal course.
