When Is the Best Time of Year to Buy a Hot Tub?
20 August 2026

People often assume that late spring and summer are the only sensible times to buy a hot tub. In practice, the ideal time depends on how you plan to use it and how quickly you can prepare your garden.
Autumn and winter use
There is a distinct pleasure in stepping into warm water on a cold winter evening. Because of this, autumn and early winter are popular times for buyers who want to make the most of their garden during the colder months.
If energy costs during winter are a concern, look for models designed for high efficiency. Over twenty of our spas include a free 5kW air source heat pump, which the supplier rates at up to 75% cheaper heating than a standard heater. Installing ahead of the coldest months gives you plenty of time to get the unit running efficiently before the frost sets in.
Base work and electrical supply
Your own preparation schedule often dictates the timing more than the calendar. Before delivery, you need to arrange a suitable level base and have a qualified electrician install the electrical supply.
Groundwork such as pouring concrete, laying slabs, or building timber decking is generally easier in dry weather. If you plan to lay a base in spring or summer, you can have everything ready before ordering. We connect the hot tub to your prepared electrical supply on delivery day, but we do not install the supply itself.
Pre-loved availability throughout the year
If you are considering a pre-loved model, timing is less about seasons and more about stock. Pre-loved spas arrive with us throughout the year. Our engineers strip them down, inspect, deep-clean, and service each one before listing.
A pre-loved hot tub can be held with a £99 deposit, with the balance due 48 hours before delivery. Because our pre-loved stock changes regularly, the best time to buy is simply when the right layout and specification becomes available.
Every delivery includes positioning, connecting to your supply, filling, testing, and a full handover demonstration.
